Background: It was 1968. I was in my early-twenties and had just completed my second year of teaching in the Montreal school system. I knew teaching was my right work but I was burned out and discouraged working within the public system. I wanted to teach in a way that was in harmony with who I am and make a real difference in the lives of my students. Guided by some inner prompting, I resigned from my teaching position and began a journey of personal discovery. My journey led me to three cities and many different work experiences in the fields of education, therapy, business, and media design (see sidebar). With each role came new insights and a growing understanding of the importance of having a complete set of lifeskills to live in balance and harmony. What an excellent training it has been! These eclectic experiences have widened my perspective and helped me become a more skilled and effective educator and coach. Present Day: I now teach a mix of lifeskills that promote the health and productivity of individuals and their enterprises.
